The EMCR Training Grant Scheme
Play a role in your EMCR community's researcher development and gain leadership experience
The EMCR Training Grant Scheme allows Early- to Mid-Career Researchers and EMCR communities the opportunity to develop and run researcher development events and activities for their community.
The EMCR Training Grant Scheme is designed to provide small-scale grants to early- to- mid-career researchers (EMCRs) or EMCR communities and networks to organise researcher development events or activities. These should support a nominated cohort of early or mid-career researchers at the University to develop skills or knowledge relevant to research careers. Events or programs to build a supportive research culture will also be considered. Events can include, but are not limited to, workshops, symposia, conferences, and seminars that benefit EMCRs by building personal and professional skills (such as leadership, communication, or strategic career planning).
The Scheme will award up to $5,000 to an eligible applicant or EMCR community (e.g. an established EMCR Committee or EMCR network) based at the University of Sydney to deliver an event or program (e.g. series of events).
Scheme guidelines outline full funding inclusions and exclusions.
