The mid-career phase of a research career is a time of change and growth, and one that can present new challenges as you transition from project to program leadership and expand your teams and collaborations. This program will equip you with practical skills to strategically plan your growing research program, efficiently and effectively manage research at scale, and build relationships and lead others.
The program is targeted at mid-career researchers who have recently transitioned into an increased level of independence and research leadership. This could include leading their own team, funding and/or research programs at a larger scale in size, scope and/or reach.
Up to 25 participants will be selected through a brief application process.

The program consists of 3 interactive full-day in person workshops to be run on Camperdown campus over three consecutive weeks.
1. Thursday 30 October 2025 - Research Vision to Strategy: Leading and Planning Research Strategy
2. Thursday 6 November 2025 - Research Strategy to Reality: Managing Research Projects and Teams
3. Thursday 13 November 2025 - Impactful Research Collaboration: Engaging and Working with Others in Research
